Track athletes from the 3A West gathered in Kemmerer to tune up for this week's state meet in Casper and there were a number of double event winners. On the boy's side, Lovell's Quinn Lindsey won both of the throwing events as he tossed the shot 56-8.5 and the discus 169-10 to make it to the top of the podium. On the track, Lovell's Ben Nichols captured the 100-meter dash in 11.45 and the 400 with a clocking of 51.44. In the distance races, Tanner Erickson of Mountain View won the 800 and 1600 meter runs with times of 2.02.57 and 4.34.48 respectively, Defending 3A cross country state champion Owen Burnett of Kemmerer won the 3200 easily with a time of 10.08.28. Lander's Gage Gose has been over-the-top strong in the hurdle events and took 1st place in the 110 in 41.91 and the 300 in 38.96. He has the best mark in the state in the 300 hurdles this season. The 200-meter dash winner in the 3A West meet was Matisse Weaver of Lander in 24.26. In the boy's relays, Lander won the 4x100, the 4x400, and the 1600 medley with Worland winning the 4x800.

In the boy's field events, Powell's Eli Weimer cleared 6-2 to win the high jump, Connor Micheli of Mountain View cleared 15 feet even to capture the pole vault. The long jump winner was Zach Ratcliffe of Powell at 19-11.75 and he also won the triple jump at 39-10. In the team standings for the guys, Powell is first with 137, Mountain View 2nd with 124.5, and Worland 3rd with 119.5

On the ladies' side, Jenna Hillman of Powell looked sharp in the sprints with a couple of wins. She took the tape in the 100in 12.92 and the 200 in 27.27. The 400-meter dash winner was Katie Giorgis from Mountain View in 1 minute even. In the distance races, Amee Newman from Lovell ran 2.26.44 to win the 800, Ameya Eddy of Lander ran 5.27.96 to win the 1600 and the 3200-meter run champion was Madison Antonino of Mountain View in 15.96. Katie Giorgis was having quite a meet as she won the 300 hurdles with a time of 47.37. Mountain View's Jaylee Antonino won the 100 hurdles in 15.96. Lander won all 4 of the relays which was super impressive.

In the girl's field events, Mya Hutchings of Mountain View went 5-5 to win the high jump. Sage Bradshaw from Lyman won the long jump going 16-06, the triple jump winner was Sydney Spomer of Powell with a leap of 33-9,5 and Mylie Micheli of Mountain View cleared 9 feet to take the pole vault, In the throwing events, Reagan Thompson of Powell had a toss of 36-4.6 to place first in the shot with Katy Dexter going 133-2 to win the discus. In the team standings, Powell was first with 154, Mountain View 2nd with 113, and Lander 3rd with 103.
