Hello from Enville! I hope all moms had a wonderful Mother’s Day. We had a great day with family at decorations and lunch at our house; then, we decided to take our daughter and son-in-law’s pontoon out for a ride. It was a good day for it!
We now look forward to Memorial Day with family and fun! These months are flying by. I hope all the cold snaps are gone, and we can enjoy warmer weather. We probably need to get our garden spot ready for a few fresh vegetables. There is nothing better than homegrown tomatoes and veggies!
The Enville Volunteer Fire Department wants to say a big THANK YOU to everyone who supported their fundraiser. They sold out of everything pretty quickly. They may have to double up on everything next year! It was all very good. Thanks to our firefighters for a job well done! They had some help from some guys in the community as well. Thanks to everyone!
Happy birthday wishes go to Amanda Johnson on May 14 and Jennifer Gibbs on May 16. We hope you all enjoy your special day!
Please pray for the Cates family for the loss of Pat Cates grandson and continue prayers for Deb Finley, Lisa Bishop, Amanda Johnson, Florence Stublaski, Inez Cash, Jimmy Robertson, Agnes Smith, Linda and Robert Johnson, Mary Lee Guyon, Janice and Danny Keen, Greyson Reynolds, Jack and Tera O’Neal, Harold and Janice Maness, Mikki Patterson, Tim Harris, Tim and Tabitha Hampton, Shirley Hampton, Della Mixon, Ashley Pugh, Ann Pugh, Emily Freeman, Larry Lambert, Roger and Sue Henson, all who have lost loved ones, our firefighters, first responders, law enforcement, healthcare workers, military and schools and, as always, each other.
Third Sunday decoration is at Johnson Cemetery in Enville, Rocky Knob Cemetery and Cabo Cemetery. Please support your family cemeteries.
If you have news or someone to add to the prayer list, call me at 608-3058, or if you want to rent the community center, call Pat Cates at 688-5125.
Have a blessed week everyone!
