Alabama women's basketball announced the signage of JeAnna Cunningham, a transfer from West Virginia.

"We are really excited to add JeAnna to our team," coach Kristy Curry. "She brings great size and length to our frontcourt. She has great potential and will add depth to our post position."

She played in 12 games over two seasons with the Mountaineers. She averaged 2.4 minutes a game. She scored four total points with five rebounds.

Cunningham is the fifth addition that will be taller than 5-foot-11, helping add height to a shorter Crimson Tide squad. She is the first addition that will help bolster a post rotation that at times was limited last season.

Cunningham is a 6-foot-4 center who was a four-star prospect coming out of high school. She was the No. 13-rated forward after an All-State second-team season as a senior.

Cunningham joins a signing class of incoming freshman Karly Weathers and transfers Loyal McQueen, Sarah Ashlee Barker, Aaliyah Nye and Ryan Cobbins. They will join eight returnees including all five starters.

The Crimson Tide is coming off a 20 win season that saw it make the WNIT Elite Eight.
