A 24-year-old man in Wayne County entered a no contest plea for sexually assaulting 3 minor children, all under the age of 12 or younger at the time of the crimes.

According to A.G. Howell, Wayne County District Attorney, Joseph Christopher Krombel admitted he has no defense to contest the charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child and corruption of minors.

Just prior to a jury trial to begin on May 16th, Krombel admitted before Honorable President Judge Janine Edwards that he is not contesting the molestation of the 3 minor children that occurred sometime between January 2017 and August 2020.

The children revealed Krombel’s assault after he was removed from the residence on another matter.

President Judge Janine Edwards set for him to be sentenced on August 18th, 2022 after an assessment by the Pennsylvania Sexual Offenders Assessment Board (“SOAB”).

Krombel faces up to 45 years in prison.
