Courts Watch: Sentences, pleas and other developments in St. Cloud-area criminal cases

Editor's note: This weekly report includes new information about Stearns, Benton and Sherburne county criminal cases covered in the St. Cloud Times.

Antoine Elijah Williams, 26, of St. Cloud, pleaded guilty Feb. 24 to one felony count of fourth-degree assault. A warrant was issued May 9. Judge Michael Jesse presided. In another case, Williams pleaded guilty to one misdemeanor count of driving after revocation.

Jordan David Gumiela, 42, of St. Cloud, pleaded guilty March 16 to one felony count of theft. Gumiela is scheduled to be sentenced June 3. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen presided.

Kaleffa Steven Mann, 27, of Brooklyn Park, was sentenced May 2 to four years in prison, with conditional release after a confinement of 10 years, for one felony count of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. Mann was credited for 139 days served. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen presided.

Mowlid Muktar Osman, 36, of St. Cloud, pleaded guilty May 5 to two felony counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. He is scheduled to be sentenced June 23. Judge Sarah Hennesy presided.

Robert Allen Mrozek, 36, of Sauk Rapids, was sentenced May 5 to seven years and two months in prison, stayed for 25 years, and 258 days in jail, for one felony count of third-degree murder, selling or distributing a controlled substance. He was credited for 258 days served and will be on probation for 25 years. Judge Mary Mahler presided.

Calvin Leon Ford, 34, of St. Cloud, was sentenced May 5 to one year and three months in prison, stayed five years, and 59 days in jail for one felony count of violating a no contact order. He was credited for 59 days served and will be on probation for five years. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen presided.

Shaun Webb, also known as Shawn Webb, 52, of St. Cloud, was sentenced May 5 to one year and nine months in prison, stayed for five years, and three days in jail, for one felony count of domestic assault. He was credited for three days served and will be on probation for five years. Judge Kris Davick-Halfen presided.

Immanuel Rowran Chuol, of St. Cloud, was sentenced May 5 to 100 days in jail for one gross misdemeanor count of giving a police officer a false name. Chuol was credited for 100 days served.

In another case, Chuol was sentenced to one year and three months in prison, stayed for five years, for one felony count of third-degree burglary. He will be on probation for five years.

In another case, Chuol was sentenced to one year and one day in prison, stayed for five years, and 181 days in jail for one felony count of third-degree burglary. He was credited for 181 days served and will be on probation for five years. The sentencing is concurrent with the above case.

In another case, one felony count of theft was dismissed.

Cody Ray Bruggenthies, 30, of Sartell was sentenced May 5 to a stay of imposition for one felony count of fourth-degree controlled substance crime. With a stay of imposition, the conviction will be deemed a misdemeanor if probation is successfully completed. He was sentenced to 82 days in jail and was credited for 82 days served. Bruggenthies will be on probation for five years. One felony count of third-degree controlled substance crime was dismissed.

In another case, Bruggenthies was sentenced to a stay of imposition for one felony count of fifth-degree controlled substance. He was sentenced to 47 days in jail and was credited for 47 days served. He will be on probation for five years.

In another case, Bruggenthies was sentenced to one year in jail, stayed 292 days for six years, for one gross misdemeanor count of refusal to submit to chemical testing. He was credited for 73 days served and will be on probation for six years. One gross misdemeanor count of person ineligible to receive, ship or transport a firearm and one misdemeanor count of fourth-degree driving while impaired were dismissed. Judge Michael Jesse presided.
