Two motorcycle riders killed in Southwest Michigan crash

CASS COUNTY, MI – Two motorcycle riders were killed in a crash early Monday morning.

Two men were riding motorcycles around 4:37 a.m., May 16 at the intersection of U.S. 12 and Baldwin Prairie Road in Porter Township, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office said.

They had been hit from behind by a car while they were on U.S. 12, preparing to make a left turn onto Baldwin Prairie Road, police said.

Tanner Maddock Hull, 20, and William David Monroe Kunz, 21, both of White Pigeon, were pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

A 20-year-old White Pigeon man was driving the car that hit them, police said.

Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.

Anyone who came through the intersection before emergency personnel were on scene are asked to call the sheriff’s office at 269-445-2481 to talk about the crash.

The crash is under investigation.
