“How do we just drive off into the sunset when I feel like the next thing is around the corner?”
That’s the big question facing Liz and Max in the fourth (and final) season of The CW‘s Roswell, New Mexico, premiering Monday, June 6 (8/7c).
Actually, as you’ll see in the just-released trailer, it’s one of the big questions.
As previously reported, the residents of Roswell will face a number of new threats this season: Andrew Lees (The Originals) and Zoe Cipres (grown-ish) are recurring as a bank-robbing duo named — wait for it — Bonnie and Clyde. In their misguided attempts at stealing back what they believe is rightfully theirs, the thieves believe they may find an ally in Michael. In less-dangerous news, Rekha Sharma (Battlestar Galactica) will also recur as Shivani, a decorated tech entrepreneur.
And as revealed in the final moments of Season 3, Shiri Appleby — who played Liz on The WB’s Roswell, and has directed several episodes of The CW’s version — will recur as a mysterious character named Allie.
Despite being unceremoniously canceled, Roswell will not leave fans hanging. “Mark Pedowitz [and] his team at The CW had the class [and] grace to warn the shows that they might not survive, even if The CW wanted them,” executive producer Julie Plec tweeted of Roswell and Legacies. “Because of that, the season finales of both shows were carefully crafted to also work as series finales.”
Roswell, New Mexico stars Jeanine Mason as Liz Ortecho, Nathan Dean as Max Evans, Lily Cowles as Isobel Evans-Bracken, Michael Vlamis as Michael Guerin, Tyler Blackburn as Alex Manes, Heather Hemmens as Maria DeLuca, Michael Trevino as Kyle Valenti and Amber Midthunder as Rosa Ortecho.

Several years ago I fell in love with Shiri Appleby on Roswell. Then 2 years ago I fell in love with Jeannine Mason on Roswell, New Mexico. Bad news…both shows were cancelled, but good news I finally figured out I didn’t love those actresses, I actually loved Liz Ortecha.
I’d rather know if Michael and Alex have a happy ending.
I’m really hoping that Alex and Michael get married I’m also hoping another network will pickup roswell new mexico
I will certainly miss seeing Tyler Blackburn on a regular basis. Been a fan since his days as Caleb on Pretty Little Liars.
I’m so glad we get a finale. Unlike the original Roswell it just stopped. I was heartbroken. I’m excited to see how this will end. Not that I want it to.
The Original did not just drop. They did a happy ending. Max and Liz got married. Isobel and her man went away with them. They kept moving about to avoid the government.
I really hate that this is ending! I have enjoyed it tremendously! And I always look forward to the new season beginning! I am a s for Happy Endings and I really hope it ends right! Thank you for the enjoyment
Amen. Just heard this and Legacies are cancelled. I am shocked and heartbroken. I loved the original Roswell (especially Brendan Fehr as Michael) and was so upset when it ended. I was very wary of the reboot, knowing these things can go very wrong (ahem Charmed). At first I was constantly comparing the 2 shows and characters, but soon enough fell in love with this whole show. It didn’t hurt to have Tyler Blackburn from PLL and Michael Trevino from The Vampire Diaries in it either:) I can’t believe it’s ending so soooon. And the end of Legacies is the end of TVD universe. WHYYYY???
Fell in love with Roswell New Mexico and i’m so excited to start this season!! But..so sad to see it end .
Is there a petition to have another Network pick up the series? I’ll sign it. I love this show
I’m in if there is a way to bring back R.N.M. I grew to love the characters, but really loved the science. Aspects. It was very inspirational for a young person thinking about science and just how useful a science education could be. CW, try inspiring your audience with (Scifi-) STEM more often. I hope Hulu or Netflix will pick this show to continue exploring family, friends, and Alien can influence one’s life.
Really bummed about this being the final season. So much more to explore. Thank you for 4 seasons.
Hopefully all these cancelled shows which have been my favorites will be picked up by hulu or fox or even netfilx. I think CW erred in axing so many good shows all at once. Is someone actually getting paid to do this?
Should be fired!!!
Roswell New Mexico is a fantastic show you really do fall in love with the characters especially Liz and Max everything they go through the ups and downs and everyone else who’s involved in their unique adventure must face this new alien threat how could the CW cancel an excellent show with a great cast the story lines take you completely for a loop it draws you in to this world with such force and Dynamics it’s an excellent excellent show it’s just too bad that the CW executives didn’t realize what they had or maybe they just didn’t care I’m not sure why they really cancel Roswell New Mexico the show with such potential with so many stories that will never be told this show was reimagined from the first Roswell show I really do wish that The CW executives wake up and realize that they have a gold mine here with Roswell New Mexico the cast and crew in the story lines are absolutely out of this world hopefully they’ll wake up and renew Roswell New Mexico for a season 5 with so many storylines yet to be unfolded in this fantastic television show Netflix, Hulu or HBO executives will step in and save Roswell New Mexico realizing that the CW executives where nuts for canceling the show ways too early and pick the show up.
