Car Crashes Into Convenience Store; One Hurt

One person is hurt after a car crashed into a Springfield convenience store Monday.
 
The vehicle crashed through the front door of Hometown Pantry on South Grand Avenue West just after 1pm. It ran over the foot of a woman in the store, who was transported by ambulance to a hospital for treatment.
 
There was no immediate word on why the vehicle crashed into the building or whether citations will be issued. Fire department personnel checked the building and determined it was structurally safe.
