Residential remodeling company to move into former Gander Mountain location in Waite Park

WAITE PARK — Your Home Improvement Company, a St. Cloud residential remodeling business, will be moving into the former Gander Mountain building in Waite Park.

The former sporting goods store closed in 2017 in the wake of a bankruptcy filing. Your Home Improvement Company President Steve Little said the building was appealing for its location and larger space.

The company plans to move out of its St. Cloud location at 23823-67th Avenue, which is about 20,000 square feet, and into the Waite Park location, which is roughly 33,000 square feet, Little said.

Construction will need to be completed on the space before the move with the location expected to be broken into different departments. Renovations include a 4,500 square-foot showroom for company products so customers can see them firsthand. The space will also include company offices and a warehouse.

The goal is to be in the space by October or November, Little said.

The company started out the basement of Little's St. Cloud home in 2004 and has 12 locations in the U.S. and more than $60 million in sales.

"It's a excellent location. We're excited to be more visible in the community as well, more active in the community so we're just really excited," Little said.
