The 11,800-square-foot building has had the same owner for the past 17 years.

The building housing the coworking offices of Beahive and two other commercial tenants in downtown Albany sold for $700,000 in a cash deal.

Commercial real estate broker Tracy L. Metzger sold the 11,800-square-foot building at 418 Broadway, which she's owned for 17 years.

Metzger will continue to run Beahive. Her business, TL Metzger & Associates, is located at the coworking offices.

"I happened to get a call from a company looking to buy a building downtown," Metzger said. "There was nothing else on the market downtown, so it made me think about selling mine. Knowing they would be a tenant in the building I thought that was frankly the right buyer."

The buyer was Fort Blue LLC of Sheridan, Wyoming.

Metzer said it was a service-related company, and will occupy the top floor, which is now vacant.

A company representative said no additional information would be released.

The other tenants are Home Leasing on the third floor and Broadway Plaza Liquor on the ground floor.

"I definitely see a rebound for downtown, but it's not back to where it was [before the pandemic]," Metzger said of commercial leasing activity.
