State troopers arrest shooting suspect in small Michigan village

OSCEOLA COUNTY, MI – Police have one suspect in custody they believe was involved in a shooting on a small village’s Main Street.

The suspect’s name is being withheld pending arraignment, Michigan State Police said. Police released few details about the Sunday, May 15 shooting.

Troopers responded to a 6:45 p.m. report of a shooting complaint on Main Street in Osceola County’s village of Marion. The victim was transported to Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, the Mt. Pleasant Post said.

The victim’s condition is unknown.

The suspect is lodged at the Osceola County Jail. Police said additional information will be released at a later date.

Troopers were assisted by the Cadillac Michigan State Police Post, Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, and Meceola Central Dispatch.
