Columbia College baseball falls in NAIA opening round

Columbia College baseball lost in the opening round of the NAIA tournament Monday 15-9 against Bryan College.

The Cougs were down early 13-0 but a run in the fifth and back-to-back four run innings in the sixth and seventh brought them back within four.

David Dell led the Cougars going 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBI's. Seven different pitchers took the mound for Columbia College Monday giving up 17 hits and seven strikeouts.

Up next - Columbia will take on the host and No. 3-seeded Taylor on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in an elimination game.
