Brown tweeted on Monday afternoon, “Just wanna Retire A Steeler” and then added, “translation I want to come back to Pittsburgh.”

Brown clarified his comment saying he doesn't want to play in Pittsburgh again, just retire.

Twitter reacted to Brown’s flat out admission of wanting to come back to Pittsburgh.

Brown forced himself out of Pittsburgh after reportedly getting into an argument with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger and then skipping practice. He was benched during the last game of the season and was traded for a third and fifth-round pick to the then Oakland Raiders.

Brown’s has been radioactive since leaving the Steelers with frostbitten feet, wearing unapproved helmets, confrontations with general managers, on and off retirement, several off the field lawsuits and run ins with the law and most recently quitting on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, taking off parts of his uniform and throwing them into the stands during a Week 17 game against the Jets this past January.

The news of Brown saying he wants to retire a Steeler comes as he is set to perform a concert this Friday on the South Side.
