Three boys, one of whom was armed with a handgun, robbed and assaulted two other teenagers inside the Arundel Mills mall Saturday, Anne Arundel County police said.
Police said the three boys approached the victims several inside the mall sometime before noon on Saturday. At one point, the victims noticed they were being followed and try to flee, police said. The trio chased the victims and eventually caught them, police said.
Police said one of the boys punched the first victim in the head and robbed him. The second victim was pushed to the ground and also robbed, police said. During the robbery, one of the boys took out a black handgun from his black backpack and told the victims he would shoot them if they said anything, police said. Police said the attackers took the victims' athletic shoes, a cell phone and a small amount of cash.
The police did not provide a detailed description of the boys.
