WAS HIT. THAT’RIS GHT TREE. THE BUILDING WAS ACTUALLY THE LAST THING IT HIT IT WENT THROUGH A NUMBER OF THINGS HERE. THEER ARE A LOT OF POLLS CRUISE OUT HERE. THIS IS NORTH BEND ROAD. I MEAN THERE WAS LOUD ENOUGH TO WAKE UP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD VERY UDLO THE VEHICLE IMPALED INTO A BUILDING ONE WOMAN DEAD ANOTHER MAN SEVERELY INJURED AND TRAPPED INSIDE. IT WAS JUST A TERRIBLE THING. Police identify woman killed after car crashes into market in College Hill
A woman is dead and a man is in the hospital after a car crashed into a market in College Hill on Friday.It happened around 2:13 a.m. when a car was seen speeding on Hamilton Avenue near Galbraith Road. North College Hills officers attempted to pull the car over but stopped pursuing the car on North Bend Road.Police said the driver lost control of the car, hit a utility pole and then the North Bend Market before landing on its top. Shortly after, officers found the car on North Bend Road near Simpson Avenue in College Hill. Firefighters were quickly able to extricate a woman from the car and performed CPR but she was pronounced dead at the scene. She's been identified as 24-year-old Timaya Smith.It then took 40 minutes to get the second person, a man, out of the car. The man was rushed to UC Hospital where he is being treated for his injuries.The crash left a hole in the North Bend Market.Both were not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. Impairment as a factor is being investigated. Any witnesses to this crash are asked to contact the Cincinnati Police Department's Traffic Unit at 513-352-2514.
