A man died during surgery after being stabbed Friday night in Anderson, according to the coroner's office. Eric Corey Edmundson, 44, of New York died Saturday night after suffering a knife wound at a home on Maxie Drive, Deputy Coroner Josh Shore said. His death has been ruled a homicide, according to the coroner. The stabbing was reported after 8:30 p.m., according to an incident report.A news release said the stabbing is the result of a domestic altercation. "There appears to be no danger to the public and the investigation is on-going by the Anderson Police Department and the Anderson County Office of the Coroner," a release from the coroner's office said.
