Coshocton man killed in Licking County single-vehicle crash

A Coshocton man was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Licking County early Sunday.

Aaron Owens, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash on York Road in Harrison Township in the western part of the county.

Around 1:15 a.m. Sunday, troopers from the Granville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol were called to the scene on a report of a crash.

Troopers said Owens was driving a 2006 Mazda 3 southbound on York Road when the car drove off the right side of the road, struck a guardrail and culvert, before coming to rest in a creek bed.

OSHP said Owens was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation.
