Anderson Varejao to represent Cavs at NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night

CLEVELAND, Ohio (92.3 The Fan) – Anderson Varejao will represent the Cavaliers at the NBA Draft Lottery Tuesday night the team announced Monday.

The Draft Lottery, which will be held in Chicago, will air on ESPN starting at 8 p.m.

The Cavs finished the 2021-22 season with a 44-38 record and enter the lottery with a 2.41% chance of securing a top-four pick and a less than full percentage chance for each of those top four slots – 0.5% for the No.
1 pick, 0.6% for the second or third selection and .0.7% chance for the fourth pick.

Cleveland has a 97.6% chance to win the No. 14 pick.

Varejao played 13 seasons for the Cavs, averaging 7.5 points and 7.5 rebounds in 596 games.

Varejao, a beloved fan favorite, ranks fourth in franchise history in offensive rebounds, sixth in total rebounds and eighth in games played, blocks and steals. He also owns a share of the team record for rebounds in a game with 25. He played in 71 playoff games for the Cavaliers, including two Eastern Conference Finals and one NBA Finals.
