ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- The Detroit Tigers are bringing up Daz Cameron to fill in the holes in their injury-riddled outfielder.

Outfielders Austin Meadows (vertigo) and Victor Reyes (right quad strain) went on the 10-day injured list after Sunday’s game.

One of those spots will be used to recall right-handed pitcher Alex Faedo, who will start Monday’s opener in Tampa Bay against the Rays.

For the other spot, the Tigers will recall Cameron, who will be in his second stint with the big-league club this year.

Cameron went 1-for-5 in a fill-in role last month. In 104 plate appearances with Triple-A Toledo, he’s hitting .260 with five doubles, two homers and five stolen bases.

Meadows sat out the first two games of the weekend series with Baltimore before briefly returning to the lineup on Sunday. But he played just one inning before experiencing the same symptoms of lightheadedness that had plagued him throughout the weekend.

“We’ve got to get to the bottom of it,” Hinch said. “We’ve been patient, but it’s something that we’ve got to get to the bottom of. I’m expecting him to go on the injured list while we sort through what’s going on.”

Meadows lives in the St. Petersburg area, so he accompanied the team on this trip and will meet with doctors here.

Reyes just spent three weeks on the injured list with a left quad strain. He strained his right quad while rounding second base after an extra-base hit in the right-field corner in the second inning on Sunday.

“It’s almost a mirror of what happened on his left side on his right side,” Hinch said. “He’s going to be out for a bit.”

The Tigers will likely use Willi Castro in left, Derek Hill in center and Robbie Grossman in right as their primary outfield alignment.

Cameron would be part of a three-man bench, along with catcher Eric Haase and infielder Harold Castro.
