We are getting closer to the June 28th Primary Election date, including the start of early voting this Thursday. And one place you can get election information is our “YOUR ELECTION CONNECTION” page located at VermilionCountyFirst.com and sponsored by Vermilion County Clerk Cathy Jenkins. As Jenkins recently mentioned to us, this is a continuation of what her office has done before.
AUDIO: We started this actually last year. And it went over so well, that we continued on with it this year. Voter registration, you can find your polling place, you can find dates of the elections; you can click on to one of the websites and it will take you directly to our website for any kind of forms or anything you want to look at. And we’re going to run this through election day; it tells you how to get to vote by mail; anything to do with the election, you can find it there.
Jenkins says, the county has brought upon some additional judges for this year, ready to go for a more normal Election Day that will NOT be requiring masks.
AUDIO: And it looks really well; we acquired some new judges this time, we’re pretty excited about that. It’s people wanting to get involved and we’re glad that they are. We’re going to have early voting here in our office as usual, all the way up through Election Day. And we don’t require any masks.
So again, look for the “YOUR ELECTION CONNECTION” page at VermilionCountyFirst.com. There will be other stories there as well, such as Bill Pickett’s recent one about the Danville Election Commission’s election judges training.
