The Korean corn dog craze has finally arrived, Columbus.

Myungrang Hot Dog, an international Korean corn dog chain that’s quickly planting its flag in the US, opened its first Ohio location on May 13.

The South Korea-based eatery is located at 850 N. High St. in the Short North.

You’ve probably seen Korean corn dogs pop up on social media in the last few months, but in case you’re not familiar with this seemingly global food craze, Korean corn dogs take their American counterpart and make them a whole lot more indulgent. Korean corn dogs will often include blocks of melty mozzarella cheese, chunks of sweet potato or French fries embedded in the batter itself, and even squid ink.

You can check out Myungrang Hot Dog’s Columbus menu here.

The new Short North eatery is open Sunday to Thursday from 2-9 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 2 p.m. until 1 a.m.
