The Missouri State Highway Patrol's online report states that Drew Danner, 19, of Laurie, was driving west on Highway 52, east of Pace Road Sunday at 1:06 pm.
The report said that Danner was driving too fast for the conditions and lost control.
The 2001 Honda Civic he was driving crossed the center line and hit the 2021 Chevrolet 3500 driven by Frederick Mueller, 41, of Eugene.
The 14-year-old was a passenger in Danner's car. He was flown to University Hospital for treatment.
