MIDLAND, MI — A head-on crash in Midland has resulted in the death of a Battle Creek woman.
The collision occurred about 1:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 15 on Airport Road between Sturgeon Avenue and Perrine Road. Midland police officers responded to the scene and determined a westbound 2021 Toyota Corolla driven by Madison D. Snider, 20, had crossed the center line and crashed head-on into an eastbound 2017 GMC Sierra.
Responders pronounced Snider, of Battle Creek, deceased at the scene. The 31-year-old Sanford man who had driven the Sierra was taken via ambulance to MyMichigan Health in Midland for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
Neither vehicle contained passengers.
“Our hearts and condolences go out to the families involved in this tragic incident,” police said in a press release.
Police are continuing to investigate. It’s unknown if drugs or alcohol were involved at this point.
