The Manitowoc County Mariners improved to 3-0 this season with a 32-16 victory over the Brown County Blackjacks in semi-pro football Saturday.
The game at Magee School in Two Rivers saw Coach Brent Luebke’s squad strike in a variety of ways.
Quarterback Marcos Alfaro II completed 12 of 24 passes for 330 yards and 3 scores, including a pair of touchdowns to Austin Isley and a third covering 73 yards to Jeremy Gadzinski.
Adrian Abeyta added two rushing TD’s.
Defensively, linebacker Dustin Vlies and safety Brysen Roulette each had 6 total tackles.
The Mariners return to Rubick Municipal Field next Saturday, May 21st for a 4:00 p.m. kickoff against the Marshfield Bandits.
