Local Restaurants Give Back

Two local restaurants have partnered with nonprofits to help and serve others.  Now’s a great time to visit Terry Black’s and Salad & Go because they are partnering with two different service agencies to help their clients. Our support of these restaurants helps them support others. Eat good food! Everyone wins!

Giving back is important to the entire Black family, and this year’s National BBQ Day kicks off with the Terry Black’s team serving 250 lunches of their delicious brisket sandwich to clients at Austin Street Center, one of the largest low barrier shelters in Dallas on Monday, May 16. The Terry Black’s teams will also serve meals at two Austin shelters.

What a fantastic way to celebrate the iconic food of Texas.

Salad & Go, a healthy fast-food chain with two locations in Dallas; Coit and Beltline and Ross and Greenville, is partnering with the American Diabetes Association this month to raise funds for Camp New Horizons, an agency that provides after-school and summer programs for Dallas-Fort Worth area children with diabetes.

Throughout the month of May, guests can donate at Salad and Go drive-thrus with the knowledge that all donations made will benefit their local chapter of the ADA. Salad and Go will also match 10% of funds raised in their drive-thrus, up to an additional $5,000.

Remember just two years ago, restaurants were struggling to stay afloat.  And, now that things have returned to some normalcy, these restaurants and others are looking outward to help others. Well, done!
