Have you ever tasted a boudin baked potato? The Cajun culinary creation is one of a variety of loaded baked potatoes, soups, burgers and wraps at Super Taters and More in Scott—your all-in-one lunch destination.

First opening their doors in 2014, Super Taters hoped to bring a fresh perspective to the already booming Acadiana food scene. The restaurant gives owner Jerry Bobb the opportunity to share his love of baked potatoes with everyone.

Bobb has always had a knack for business and was excited when the opportunity to own a restaurant was presented to him.

"I think potatoes are great and versatile," Bobb explains. "The thing about potatoes are either you love them or you don't. I designed the menu to be completely customizable so people can have exactly the type of potato they like."

When recipe developing and building the menu the customer was always the main focus. He was adamant about not making his likes the focus but creating food items to be enjoyed by a large number of people. This has proved successful. Over the past eight years the business has been flourished. They have also won the Best of Acadiana award for "best-baked potato" four times.

During the lockdown phases of 2020, Super Taters experienced a massive boom in business.

"We had never experienced a demand like that," he says. "Trust me I am not complaining but the world was in such a limbo at the time I was nervous. Quality is so important for me, I want people to feel good about purchasing our food. When you are getting more business than you're used to it is easy to start cutting corners but, we didn't."

Super Taters remained committed to giving each costumer the best they can offer. Some of their most popular styles of baked potatoes include: etouffee, alfredo, boudin jack and Ragin Cajun. They have over 100 menu options with dozens of ways to customize each dish. If you're not craving spuds, the hot sandwiches, wraps, handmade soups and salads are sure to satisfy. Next month they will be introducing the "$6 summer" special, which will feature six unique menu options all priced at $6 in conjunction with Eat Lafayette.
