Two people were injured when three vehicles collided in Sangamon County.
Illinois State Police (ISP) says it happened at approximately 10:40 a.m. Sunday on I-55 near milepost 91.
All three vehicles were traveling southbound on I-55 when the driver of a Kia tried to move into the center lane.
The vehicle driving in the center lane, a truck-tractor semi-trailer, tried to swerve out of the way of the Kia.
The Kia hit the front of the semi and the semi ended up hitting a Ford Escape in the right lane.
The Kia crashed into several yellow crash barriers while the Ford Escape hit a metal guardrail and overturned.
The driver and passenger in the Ford Escape, both from Divernon, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
ISP cited the driver of the Kia for improper lane usage.
