One person was killed in a crash on Five Mile Road in Birmingham Monday morning. Learn more in the video above.The accident happened around 5:45 a.m. at the intersection of East View Boulevard and Five Mile Road.A Center Point woman in one vehicle, 39-year-old Latilsha Aundrella Burrell, was killed and a man in another vehicle was taken to UAB Hospital with serious injuries. "The decedent was the driver and lone occupant of a motor vehicle traveling south in the 900 block of Five Mile Road, when her vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle traveling northbound that had crossed over into the decedent lane," the Jefferson County coroner said Tuesday.The cause of the crash is under investigation.
