CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WCHS) —
Three hunters were charged in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia with using bait to illegally hunt turkeys, Natural Resources Police said.

On the opening morning of turkey season on April 18, two officers arrived before daylight in Brooke County and found a man in a blind hunting with corn placed as bait, police said Sunday in a news release on Natural Resources Police’s Facebook page.
The man was charged with hunting turkey over bait.
Police said two other officers at the same time also found two other hunters at a bait site. One was a Texas resident who was charged with hunting without a license.

The cases are pending in Brooke County Magistrate Court.
