One person in custody after fatal shooting in Flint

FLINT, MI – A 58-year-old man is in custody after Flint police say he shot and killed another person early Saturday morning.

According to a Monday, May 16, news release, Flint police responded to a local hospital for a 45-year-old man who had arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound.

The victim later died because of the wound.

The shooting took place around 4:30 a.m. Saturday, May 14, in the 1400 block of Brabyn Avenue, police said.

Additional information regarding the victim was not released.

Police did not identify the person they said was in custody.
