Motorcycle rider, 56, dies in Saturday night crash in Green

A 56-year-old man died in a motorcycle crash Saturday night in Green.

The man, whose name was not released as of Monday pending an autopsy and notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene at 11:11 p.m. Saturday on Arlington Road and Moore Road, near Arlington Ridge Marketplace. The rider was wearing a helmet, the Summit County Sheriff's Office said.

The man was riding a 2020 Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Arlington Road when it went off the right side of the road and hit a street sign, throwing the rider off the bike, the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and sheriff's department said. The crash happened at about 10:45 p.m.

The autopsy will be done Monday. The Summit County Sheriff's Office and Summit Metro Crash Response Team is investigating the crash.
