Two taken to hospital after SUV plunges into water in Exeter

EXETER, R.I. (WLNE) — Two people were taken the hospital after an SUV drove into the water in Exeter on Monday morning.

Crews responded to Ten Rod Road at around 7 a.m. where they found a white Honda SUV submerged in a body of water.

Officials said that the SUV swerved across traffic into the water.

Towing crews pulled the vehicle from the water. The vehicle had been damaged and likely totaled.

The extent of the injuries that the two occupants sustained is unknown.
