They say you can’t fight City Hall.

However, people are rallying and bringing their opposition to the sitting Mayor of Atlantic City, right to City Hall, today at 10:30 a.m.

John Exadaktilos, owner of Atlantic City’s Ducktown Tavern and Liquor Store has announced that there will be a rally today, Monday, May 16 in opposition to Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small.

Exadaktilos said, “I will be there and invite anyone else who is over typical Atlantic City politics … you are welcome to attend.”

Exadaktilos also added that “many civic associations are meeting me and other business leaders have contacted me via text and Facebook saying that they want to help.”

“I guess we will see,” said Exadaktilos.

WHAT: A Rally In Opposition To Atlantic City Mayor Marty Small

Today’s rally comes after a series of recent questionable and unpopular decisions made by Small.

  • Small led an effort to remove a perceived political adversary, John Devlin from the Atlantic City Municipal Utilities Authority.
  • Removing Stockton University from the Atlantic City Boathouse. Stockton University was forced to move its entire rowing program to The Brigantine Boathouse.
  • Small removed the long-standing “Fish Heads” seafood restaurant from Atlantic City’s Gardner’s Basin. This was despite the state of New Jersey willing to allow the last African-owned business in Gardner’s Basin to continue to operate there.

There appears to be a growing discontentment with Small’s agenda for Atlantic City.

We will follow up after today’s rally with any newsworthy developments.
