The watch area included Rockingham, Grafton, Carroll, Cheshire, Strafford and Belknap counties. The watch was dropped at 10 p.m.
There was a severe thunderstorm warning in Grafton County earlier Monday afternoon.
Ahead of the cold front, the Storm Prediction Center put the western half of New Hampshire at a "slight" risk for severe weather on Monday. This meant scattered severe storms were possible. Areas in eastern New Hampshire and the Seacoast were at a "marginal" risk, meaning an isolated severe storm was possible.
The most damage from storms was seen in western parts of New Hampshire, including the north Charlestown area.
Partial clearing will follow in central and southern areas overnight with some lingering clouds, showers far north.
The front that moved through will knock down humidity levels. Tuesday will be breezy with the most sun and a very slight chance of a late-day shower south with more clouds and a better chance of showers north.
