7th & 8th Grade State Track & Field Championships results

Times-Reporter Staff Report

A number of area participants took part in the OHSAA 7th & 8th grade state track & field championships last weekend at Hillard Darby High School. The results from area schools are as follows:

WELTY

Marcus Adelman finished in third place with a time of 4 minutes, 31.42 seconds in the 1600 and was fourth in the 800 (2:06.23); Myles Tyson was fourth in the pole vault (11-4); Alec Adelman was ninth in the 800 (2:07.15); Brodie Doss was 17th in the pole vault (10-0); the 4x400 relay of Alec Adelman, Marcus Adelman, Carter Watson and Asher Zimmerman finished 18th (3:52.44).

DOVER

Justice Hughes finished in third place in the 110 high hurdles (15.09) and 5th in the 200 hurdles (26.40). Pearce Mowrer tied for fourth place in the pole vault with a school-record (11-4). Jenna Molk finished in fourth place in both the 100 hurdles (15.18) and the 200 hurdles (29.95). Caroline Hanner tied for 11th place (4-10) in the high jump.

RIDGEWOOD

Cody Croy was first in the seated shot put (17-5), third in the seated 100 (25.69) and third in the seated 400 (1:51.64). Jaelyn McQueen was 10th in the long jump (16-2.25). Addison Lahmers finished 19th in the discus (85-10). Talon Carnes finished 21st in the 200 hurdles (28.03). Skylar Wright no heighted in the high jump and Kenzie Bice no heighted in the pole vault.

CLAYMONT

Kali Wallace was 11th in the 1600 (5:21.31). Cole Murray no heighted in the high jump.

TUSKY VALLEY

Maleah Dillon, Trista Leiser, Sydney Miller and Sami Ward finished 15th in the 4x800 relay (10:33.94). Sami Ward finished 22nd in the 800 (2:32.08). Abe Mcelwee was 20th in the 200 (25.62). Kylee Fender, Leah Howard, Madelin Benner and Sami Ward finished 19th in the 4x400 relay (4:25.41).

FAIRLESS

Andrew Hearn was 16th in the 1600 (4:47.39).

STRASBURG

Olivia Spidell Strasburg was 17th in the discus (87-7). Kylie McKenzie was 22nd in the 1600 (5:38.55).

RIVER VIEW

Chloee Adams ended up 18th in the high jump (4-8) and Carter Knicely was 20th in the pole vault (9-4).
