Missing Nebraska woman appears to be safe, but law enforcement wants to be 100% sure

Authorities say they need to visit with her in person despite messages shared by friends

THAYER COUNTY, Neb. (KLKN) — The Thayer County Sheriff’s Office says deputies have spoken with friends of Clarissa Martin, who was first reported missing last week.

We’re told they shared messages from the 26-year-old after she was last seen on Wednesday, May 11th.

Her friends also let deputies know that they’ve video-chatted with her as well.

Investigators say given all of the evidence, they’ve determined Martin left the area and has chosen to not return.

But we’re told they need to visit with her in person before removing Martin from a nationwide database for missing people, as investigators want to make sure she’s 100% safe.

They’re now asking Martin to call the office as soon as possible to arrange that meeting.
