The Lady Laker Softball team lost a close to Garrard County in the Don Franklin Showcase Saturday by a score of 3-2.
Sophie Shearer led the Lady Lakers with a pair of hits and an RBI, while Payton Kinnett also drove in a run for the Lady Lakers.
Tarryn Reynolds pitched six innings, giving up 8 hits and 3 runs while striking out 10 batters.
The Lady Lakers, with a record of 17-10, will host Marion County in the regular season finale tonight at home, with first pitch scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
The Lady Lakers begin district tournament play on Thursday.
