Center Point woman killed in wreck that shut down Five Mile Road in Birmingham Monday

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - A 39-year-old woman from Center Point was killed in a crash that shut down Five Mile Road Monday.

The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim as Latilsha Aundrella Burrrell.

Two vehicles were involved. Authorities say Burrell was traveling south in the 900 block of Five Mile Road, when her vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle traveling northbound that had crossed over into her lane.

An unidentified man was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Birmingham Police.
