Kewanee girls to host softball regionals this week

"Stronger when we are together" is what Head Coach Rob Weston told his team going into regionals next week, when Kewanee will be hosting the 2A regional. 

On Monday May 16, #8 seed Mendota will be in the play-in game at #7 seed Bureau Valley. Also on Monday, Kewanee, the #4 seed, will be playing the Hall Lady Red Devils. 

On Tuesday, #2 seed Erie Prophetstown will play the winner of Mendota and BV in the first semi-final. 

On Wednesday the Kewanee Hall winner will then face the #3-seeded Sherrard Lady Tigers in the second semi-final. The championship will be between the two semi-final winners. 

Coach Weston said he thinks that EP, Sherrard, Mendota and BV could all make a run at the regional title in one of the toughest regionals in the state
