Jason Kidd will be on Cloud 9 right now, as he was able to lead his Dallas Mavericks past the reigning Western Conference champions Phoenix Suns and into the Western Conference Finals. Kidd, who won his only NBA championship in Dallas, is now the head coach of the team and has done a wonderful job with them. After the game, Kidd gave a motivating speech to his players and even took a shot at Chris Paul.

Jason Kidd was filmed speaking to the Dallas Mavericks players in the locker room after their incredible Game 7 performance. He was motivating them, rallying the troops, and telling them how proud he was of them. After he did that, Kidd took a shot at Chris Paul, who had instituted a 10 PM curfew for his Suns teammates (0:15 onwards):

Jason Kidd and Chris Paul actually played against each other in the NBA for a few years. In fact, Chris Paul's first playoff series win came against Jason Kidd and the Dallas Mavericks.

And there have been rumors that the two had animosity toward each other based on their roles in the 2008 Team USA that won at the Olympics. Both players played the same position, but the younger Paul was preferred over the veteran Kidd.

Kidd even took shots at CP3 during this playoff series, saying that the Mavericks learned how to get foul calls by watching Chris Paul. Clearly, Kidd and CP3 aren't best friends.

Jason Kidd now has a mammoth task ahead of him as a coach. He will have to coach one of the best series' to get the Mavericks to defeat the Golden State Warriors, who were a dynasty just a few years ago, and still have most of their championship core intact. It will be the biggest test for Kidd as a coach yet.
