The Starke County Commissioners will meet today where they will hear from the Starke County Sheriff’s Department concerning the 911 fund shortage and an American Rescue Plan Act fund request.
Starke County Economic Development Foundation Executive Director Lisa Dan will present a request for $40,000, and the Starke County Board of Zoning Appeals and the Plan Commission will ask to create a full-time position. IT Director Richard Franks will present a domain change request for consideration.
EMS Director Eric Wood will provide his monthly report and will discuss worked holidays and vacation pay. Highway Superintendent Dan Dipert will have his monthly report and he will also talk about a truck lease, the mechanic job description, American Rescue Plan Act funds, chip and seal roads, the annual report, and Bridge 7 paperwork.
Additionally, Bass Lake residents will discuss easement concerns.
The Starke County Commissioners will meet today at 9:30 a.m. CT in the ground floor meeting room in the Starke County Annex No. 1 building at 53 E. Mound Street in Knox.
