Chrelle Booker is mayor pro tem and a native of Tryon, North Carolina. She sits on the board of directors for the National League of Cities — an organization of city, town and village leaders focused on improving the quality of life — where she chairs the Information Technology and Communications Committee. She is also first vice president of Women In Municipal Government and a member of the Legislative Action Committee and Small Cities Council.
According to her campaign website, Booker is running for the U.S. Senate because of new restrictions on voting.
For this reason, she said she was inspired to create “myissuesare.com,” a global platform with clickable maps where anyone can submit their personal municipal, county, state, federal and or country’s issues.
According to Booker, myissuesare.com shows accountability and transparency for everyone, including elected officials, to see what citizens desire from local, county, state and federal representatives in all 50 states.
Booker said on her website that her intention is for better communication between citizens, their leaders and connection to others around the world. She said she hopes her website can provide everyone with knowledge of issues and could open opportunities for humanitarian efforts that may bring people together peacefully.
