While a lot of people didn't believe Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks can take down the Phoenix Suns in Game 7 of their series, there is one who never lost faith in the franchise: Dirk Nowitzki.

Nowitzki has always been supportive of the Mavs, and while the odds were against them heading to the do-or-die showdown on Sunday, he kept believing on the team. That is why right after Dallas destroyed Phoenix with a 33-point blowout, he couldn't help but get hyped.

As the Mavs players exit the floor and head to the locker room, Nowitzki can be seen dapping up the players and telling them “What did I tell you?!” (per Dave McMenamin of ESPN).

It's certainly great to see the best player in Mavs history show his support to the current players and encourage them in every game. Having him around surely adds more motivation to Luka Doncic and the team as they attempt to get back to the NBA Finals and win it all.

Of course there is still a long way to go before the Mavs can think of the championship, but if there is anyone who can guide them and get the team to have the right mentality, it is Dirk Nowitzki. Not to mention that they also have head coach Jason Kidd, who starred alongside Dirk in that 2011 Dallas championship team.
