6 PSAC baseball teams headed to NCAA Atlantic Regional
Six baseball teams from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference made the field for the NCAA Division II Atlantic Region Tournament, including Seton Hill, Slippery Rock and Gannon.
The double-elimination tournament begins Thursday.
There are two Atlantic Region “pods.” The winners will meet in a Super Regional for a spot in the NCAA Championships June 4-11 in Cary, N.C.
The NCAA Tournament features eight regional champions.
Seton Hill (31-17-1) will play Slippery Rock (33-16) at 11 a.m. at West Chester in region No. 1.
Gannon (29-15) is in region No. 2 and faces East Stroudsburg (37-17), also at 11 a.m. at Millersville.
The other matchup is Charleston (37-16) vs. Millersville (41-12).
West Chester (29-11) is the top seed.
West Chester plays the Seton Hill-Slippery Rock winner at 2 p.m. Thursday.
