Joseph Furando, of Gilford, Connecticut, was on a business trip in New Hampshire in May 1979.
He was last seen on May 16, 1979 in Newton, Massachusetts.
Furando had reservations at the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, that night.
His body was found the next day 20 feet from his vehicle on Brewer Road off of Route 150 in Kensington.
Furando's autopsy showed he died from a gunshot wound to the head.
