After reports surfaced that former New Orleans Saints quarterback and current NFL analyst Drew Brees and NBC were parting ways, the future Hall of Famer took to Twitter to respond to those reports.

“Despite speculation from media about my future this fall, I’m currently undecided. I may work for NBC, I may play football again, I may focus on business and philanthropy, I may train for the pickleball tour, senior golf tour, coach my kids or all of the above. I’ll let you know” Brees would say in a tweet.

Coming out of retirement in the game of football is not completely unheard of, especially for Canton-worthy legends. Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre did it twice with the New York Jets (2008) and the Minnesota Vikings (2009),  wide receiver Randy Moss came back with the San Francisco 49ers in 2012 after retiring in 2010, Deion Sanders was a member of the Baltimore Ravens in 2004 after hanging it up in 2000, and Reggie White spent some time with the Carolina Panthers in 2000 after stepping away from the game in 1998.

What could temp Drew Brees to come back? The amount of firepower and current roster makeup of the New Orleans Saints. Alvin Kamara and Michael Thomas are already familiar with Brees, while the additions of rookie Chris Olave and free agent Jarvis Landry surely add some intrigue for the retired quarterback.

While any of the first three options seem likely, one can only speculate for now what Drew Brees will be doing this fall, if anything at all. By the looks of it, he'll be the first to let us know.
