Is there trouble in paradise for Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson? While the couple-of-the-moment still seem to be totally head over heels, fans have actually called out the 41-year-old SKIMS founder for something that happened between her and the 28-year-old Saturday Night Live star in a behind-the-scenes moment which was being filmed as they were preparing for their appearance at the Met Gala!
In a video which was uploaded to the Kardashian Social Instagram page, Kim can be heard telling her boyfriend to “take the double hat off,” in reference to a purple cap he was wearing over a navy and white one. “I didn’t know where to put my hat,” Pete says, before Kim gestures to an assistant and says, “She’ll hold it, just in case. Because if it works and we want to use this somewhere. Just if I want to post any behind-the-scenes.” But Pete, being the comedian that he is, decided to take things to the next level and make more sarcastic comments. “Oh you don’t want me to have a double hat? I appreciate that. Thank you,” he told Kim, to which she replied, “I’m just looking out for you.” Pete then said, “No, it’s cool,” before giving the cap to the assistant, adding, “Thank you, man. This hat caused a lot of trouble.”

However, the funny exchange between the boyfriend and girlfriend didn’t sit right with some of his fans, who called out the mom-of-four for being too “controlling.” “She’s controlling. She’s not letting him be himself by wearing two hats. Let him wear two freaking hats, Kim,” one fan pleaded, adding, “It’s all about her Instagram aesthetic. Within five months he’s going to be a complete accessory.” Another agreed, saying, “Nah def red flag passive aggressive behavior. Instead of telling him she doesn’t want him to make her look bad, which is what she’s implying. She said she’s looking out for him. It’s giving controlling and selfish.” Another fan said: “She is a little bossy. I know he will grow tired of it once the novelty wears off.” “She like him because she can control him,” speculated another fan.
However, many other fans thought that people were making something out of nothing, and couldn’t help but gush over Pete and Kim’s adorable communication with each other. “She’s so gentle when talking to him,” one fan observed. “They are so cute!!! I can’t,” added another. “He looks in loves with Kim the way he looks at her,” another fan commented. Another fan couldn’t help but notice the difference in Kim’s behavior with Pete compared to her behavior with ex-husband Kanye West, writing: “I see happiness, just the two of them being themselves, they laugh, enjoying the moment, and physical and intimate touching by holding each other’s hand so freely. When have we ever seen Kim with Kanye this happy ??? Once again when has Pete been this happy and smitten in love ???”
