2022 05/18 – Joyce M. Deiters

Joyce M. Deiters, age 61 of Carlyle, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 14, 2022, with her family by her side.

Mrs. Deiters was born in Breese, Illinois on December 31, 1960, a daughter of Henry V. and Lucille M. (nee Kuhl) Trame.  She married Daniel B. Deiters in Beckemeyer on November 3, 1984.

Joyce loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed boating, camping, and playing cards with her card club.  Mrs. Deiters was a member of St. Mary’s Church and was also active with St. Ann Altar Sodality.  She worked for the Illinois Department of Human Services, and later for Rooters Asphalt.

Joyce is survived by her husband, Daniel Deiters of Carlyle; her daughters, Stacie LeCroy and husband Jonathan of Aviston and Lisa Bedard and husband Chris of Bartelso; her grandchildren, Audrey and Wyatt LeCroy, Nora and Walker Bedard, and she was anxiously awaiting the arrival of baby Bedard in fall of 2022; her mother, Lucille Trame of Beckemeyer; and 2 brothers, Don Trame and wife Karen of Florence, KY and Lee Trame and wife Pat of Highland.

She was preceded in death by her father, Henry V. Trame.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church in Carlyle at ten am on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, with Fr. James Buerster, presiding.  Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle.  Visitation will be held at Zieren Funeral Home in Carlyle on Tuesday, May 17, 2022, from 4:00 – 8:00 PM, and on Wednesday, May 18, from 8:00 – 9:30 A.M.
