MASON COUNTY, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — A woman from Pekin, IL has died after a car and motorcycle crash in Mason County on May 14, 2022.

At around 3:15 p.m., Illinois State Police said a driver in a truck with a trailer attached was going north on I-10 near 1300N in Mason County.

Two motorcycle drivers were also going northbound behind the truck.

The driver in the truck started to slow down and make a left turn onto 1300N.

ISP said that's when the two motorcycle drivers attempted to pass, but they both struck the truck and everyone on the motorcycles were ejected.

A passenger on one of the motorcycles, 52-year-old Tammy Moore, was pronounced dead on the scene by the Mason County Coroner.

The driver of the other motorcycle was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Officials said the driver of the motorcycle in which Moore was riding with was cited for Driving Left of Center Near Intersection.
