Months removed from the dramatic playoff elimination against the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is already looking ahead to what could end up being a special 2022 season.

Allen featured at Bills safety Micah Hyde’s Charity Softball Game on Sunday, where he also took part in a home run derby. To not much of a surprise, the Bills passer won the derby with relative ease.

After the derby, Allen was asked on just where this trophy win ranks among all of his accomplishments as of late. The one-time Pro Bowler went ahead and issued a notable declaration for Super Bowl 57.

“This is a placeholder for when we win in February,” Allen said.

Allen has guided the Bills to a playoff appearance in each of his last three seasons in the NFL, which include leading Buffalo to a trip to the 2021 AFC Championship Game against the Chiefs. The fourth-year passer has been a standout performer in the playoffs, notching 14 passing touchdowns and a mere one interception in six such career games played. Still, he has yet to feature in a Super Bowl.

Bills general manager Brandon Beane has worked overtime in the offseason to bolster the offense, which has included signing the likes of wideout Jamison Crowder and tight end O.J. Howard to free agent deals.

High expectations sure are already on Allen to help to snap the Bills’ Super Bowl appearance drought in the upcoming 2022 campaign.
